Der Opferhilfegedanke ist inzwischen weltweit verankert. In vielen Ländern existieren diverse Opferschutzorganisationen mit unterschiedlichen Strukturen: staatlich getragen, mit teilweiser staatlicher Unterstützung oder als reine unabhängige private Bürgerinitiative. So wie der gemeinnützige Verein WEISSER RING, der 1976 in Mainz von 17 Persönlichkeiten der deutschen Rechtsgeschichte gegründet wurde. Nach deutschem Vorbild entstanden nach und nach rechtlich eigenständige Verbände und Vereine auch in Österreich, in Luxemburg, in der Schweiz, in Ungarn und in Tschechien. Diese Schwesterorganisationen arbeiten autark.

1989 schlossen sich die europäischen Opferschutz-Initiativen zusammen.Victim Support Europe ist ein Netzwerk von heute 26 Nichtregierungsorganisiationen in 21 europäischen Staaten. Gefördert werden Schaffung und Entwicklung von Opferrechten in ganz Europa.

HELP FOR VICTIMS OF CRIME

You have become the victim of a premeditated crime and you need help. Experience shows time and again how difficult it is to talk to other people about the effects of crime and the plight resulting therefrom. We also know that it might be even harder to have to cope with these problems all by yourself.

If you want to talk about your experience and your needs turn to Weisser Ring trustingly, we will try to help. WEISSER RING´s services to victims of crime are provided regardless of nationality.

Do have confidence. We are here to help you.

One of the 420 local offices of our non-profit organization is close to you. WEISSER RING’s volunteer workers will try to help in a prompt and unbureaucratic way.

The provision of emotional support is particularly important. Talking about your experience and to be offered consolation can restore hope and give fresh courage. If you have got into financial difficulties as a result of the offence WEISSER RING can provide stopgap relief. All services are free.

Support by WEISSER RING can be provided in different ways depending on the difficulties that you face.
 
Compensation by the State
In certain cases, under the law on compensation for victims of crime, foreign nationals who fall victim to a violent crime in Germany and suffer damage to their health are eligible to compensation by the state. In homicide cases, spouses, children of the victim, and depending on certain conditions, parents of the victim, may also apply for survivors’ pensions. In any case, file your application with the "Versorgungsamt".

Nous savons également qu’il est encore plus difficile d’avoir à surmonter ces problèmes tout seul.

Si vous désirez parler de vos préoccupations , adressez-vous en confiance à notre organisation WEISSER RING. Nous essayerons de vous aider. L’intervention du WEISSER RING n’est pas liée à une nationalité quelconque.

Un parmi les 420 bureaux d’assistance de Weisser Ring se trouve sans doute près de votre domicile. Les bénévoles de ces bureaux vous acueilleront pour vous apporter une première assistance sans formalité administrative excessive.

En faisant cela, nous tenons surtout à vous apporter un soutien personnel. Un premier entretien, déjà, peut vous réconforter et vous aider à reprendre espoir et courage.

Si vous vous trouvez, à cause de l’infraction, dans une situation matérielle grave, WEISSER RING peut vous accorder une aide financière temporaire. L’intervention du Weisser Ring est toujours gratuite.

Indemnisation par l’Etat
Des ressortissants étrangers qui ont été victime d’une infraction en Allemagne et ont subi un préjudice corporel peuvent, sous certaines conditions, percevoir une indemnisation de l’Etat conformément à la loi relative à l’indemnisation des victimes. En cas d’homicide, l’époux survivant, les enfants et, sous certaines conditions, aussi les parents, ont droit à une rente. De toute façon, il est recommendable de faire une demande auprès du "Versorgungsamt".
